At ALALAY, we believe in the power of art to pave the way for protection and hope. That is why, through the “Arte con Derechos” project, we support children and adolescents in La Paz, El Alto, and Santa Cruz so they can grow up in safe, expressive environments free from violence.
Art—in its various forms, such as music, painting, literature, and photography—becomes a space where children and adolescents can discover who they are, express their feelings, and transform difficult experiences into new opportunities. It’s not just about creativity: it’s about identity, self-esteem, and connection.
Through educational workshops, artistic activities, and community-based processes, we strengthen emotional and social skills, promote the exercise of their rights, and ensure their voices are heard and valued.
Our approach is also sustainable: we train educators, integrate art into curriculum, and build partnerships with artists, schools, and cultural spaces to broaden horizons and opportunities.
Arte con Derechos is more than an artistic project; it is a strategy for social transformation that enables every child and adolescent to imagine and build a dignified, creative, and safe future. In a country marked by inequalities, we continue to weave hope from the perspectives and dreams of children.
